Seeking a Warehouse Assistance Manager who is Bilingual in Spanish and English, and can be onsite in Totowa NJ.

SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Assistant Manager is responsible for providing management support for all day-to-day tasks necessary for consistent operations within the warehouse. This responsibility will include oversight as well as hands on support in several areas as needed.

A significant percentage of what is shipped is for large customers with their own unique set of shipping requirements or online dashboards for shipment verifications such as Amazon Marketplaces. Prior experience with these systems and working within those types of fulfillment rules is highly desired.

This role will require an individual who can work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse and often evolving responsibilities as well as contribute ingenuity to better and more efficiently operate across all levels.

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • WMS Systems & workload management
    • General hands-on management of staff to ensure tasks are carried out as required
    • Responsible for orders released to the warehouse during the day; prioritization of expedited services, customer priority levels, & special requests
    • Assists in day-to-day operations and quality compliance of all warehouse departments
      • Picking
      • Packing
      • Shipping
      • Returns
      • Mailroom

 
  • Special customer shipping requirements
    • Ensure complete adherence to special customer requirements which may include
      • Unique Labeling & Paperwork
      • LTL Shipment Scheduling or Fulfillment of Special Shipping requirements
      • Order Processing/Shipment Confirmations through customer dashboards
      • Customer Segregated Consolidations
      • Factory Direct Processing
      • International/Canada paperwork & processing through Shipper portals

 
  • Inbound scheduling, processing, and receiving

 
  • Maintenance & service contracts
    • Responsible for building, safety and maintenance including upkeep
    • Participates in vendor negotiation and compliance
    • Understanding of warehouse equipment and troubleshooting/maintenance scheduling as needed

 
  • Cycle counting & reporting for audits

 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
  • Bilingual with Spanish
  • Previous experience with WMS & Shipping systems
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel & Outlook
  • Dashboard and processing familiarity with Marketplace Shippers
    • i.e. Amazon 3P & Walmart Marketplace
  • Physical ability to perform functions such as lift/stacking boxes or operating warehouse controls (i.e. forklift)
