The Vice President of Digital Innovation is responsible for creating and or supporting the design and deployment of world-class digital and customer facing solutions. This position will be integral in leading the technology portion of  Omni-Channel platform strategy (Ecommerce, B2B and Retail Solutions) across our various brands. 

The role will be leading a company-wide digital innovation team to create an environment of operational excellence for both retail and eCommerce platforms as well as the technical delivery of digital solutions that include the unification of these platforms.

This position will play a key role in our  Digital Committee comprised of Divisional Marketing, eCommerce and Sales leaders. The VP will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a holistic 3-year technology roadmap, that includes the creation of company-wide standards for front end applications. The VP will be technical advisor to the CMO and Divisional Leaders on the latest technology trends as well as driving intelligent insight through analytics. 

Main Activities: 

The role will lead cross functional teams in the implementation of key digital strategies and standards that cross multiple businesses & channels; instill confidence both horizontally and vertically by ensuring that resources are developed, and performance is managed to optimize the utilization of our systems.

With an initial focus on Omnichannel, and modernization of our eCommerce (Shopify) platforms the role will develop and oversee the technical strategy, external partnerships, deployment and operational support that provides a best in class destination.

The role is expected to keep current on all emerging technologies and how they relate driving customer traffic. Implement disaster recovery processes to ensure seamless content distribution for all usage including our on-line ordering platforms as well as mobile application. 

Lead and mentor a team of internal & consulting resources as well as developing a deeper strategic relationship with development partners to service our various Brands.

Organizing: Can marshal resources (people, material, and support) to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently. 
Desired Functional Skills

  • Experience with deploying and maintaining Shopify-plus platform, Teamwork POS is a plus.

  • Has led a successful end to end deployment in an enterprise scale solution i.e. eCommerce (DTC, CRM, B2B), POS solutions, PIM and CRM in a complex wholesale/retail environment

  • Hands on experience managing teams and programs in an Agile development model

  • Hands on experience in e-Commerce back and front-end solutions, merchant services PCI compliance. 

  • Good knowledge and experience on Mobile applications in the consumer selling space

  • Working knowledge of internet architectures, distributed IP network designs and integration of technology 

  • Knowledge of internet protocols, especially, TCPIP, HTTP, FTP and DNS 

  • Experience with various models of content delivery 

  • Basic knowledge of network hardware including firewalls, load balancers, and switches/routers 

  • Provides budget, particularly as it relates to projects. Manages projects to budget.

  • Maintain standards for the IT Investments & project management team using Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines.

  • Ability to manage annual capital planning process in collaboration with Business, IT staff and CIO, including semi- annual refreshes as required.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic development, designing and influencing the digital experience for the Distributer, Consumer and or Commercial spaces

  • Management and Development of Internal and External Resources

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manager or Director within a consumer, commercial or industrial organization (preferably manufacturing) with responsibility over digital front-end platforms.

  • Has managed capital budgets in excess of $1M per year

  • Has led diverse functional and Technical teams 

  • Has led program management efforts within large ($500k+) manufacturing environments. 

  • Experience managing a team and working effectively in a highly-matrixed global organization

Hands-on experience using a wide variety of program and project management tools and techniques - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Desired Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Bachelor' s degree required, advanced degree is a plus

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in an Information Technology or Business Senior Leadership related role
