Job Description


This role is responsible for collaboration and management of various finance and tax technology efforts from the internal customer perspective. This leader is the voice of the Finance & Tax community and is an expert in understanding needs, developing and defining critical features and requirements and being a facilitator of change in an organization. This role will support several brands and users across regions in the apparel businesses and development teams.


Key Responsibilities

Leads a te am of SME’ s, Consultants and Business Engagement Leads (BELs) across Finance and Tax that are accountable for effective execution and delivery of business benefit.

Specify new processes or set new standards for technologies such as machine learning, RPA, AI, and other Finance & Tax needs or technologies

Partner with Finance & Tax team to d evelop guidelines and handbooks on pro cesses/standards and manage the roll-out and implementation across all functions and business units

Proactively solicit new needs, requirements and communicate progress towards the business goals for Finance & Tax Communicates and coordinates all necessary project and program information that supports on time activation for all assigned projects

Ensure that new and existing Finance & Tax business needs are represented across all the projects in the GBT portfolio with solid details and documentation

Establish and maintain strong working relationships with finance and tax partners, particularly important are SAP and BPC and well as internal global business technology partners such as integrated service delivery, project management, security, and architecture

Excel at organizational tasks and superb communication are a must, good collaborator with a real focus on delivery, understand the voice of customer and roadmap needs

Support and guide business users and their teams in all aspects of solution development and usage FI-GL, AR, AP, Credit and Asset Management, Special Ledger FI-SL, Project Systems, Bank Accounting, Foreign Currency, Treasury.

Design and build SAP FI and CO solutions. Cost Element Accounting, Cost center Accounting, Internal orders, Statistical values, Profit center accounting, and Basic product costing.

Design of a framework to create an IT roadmap and establish parameters for the evolution and implementation of newer technologies in the SAP Finance space.


Knowledge, Capabilities, and Experience:?

In depth knowledge of SAP FICO and leading large global finance implementations

Experience with Finance related technology/ software development, engineering and design at a large global manufacturer or retailer

Significant skills in technology consulting and deep understanding of process flows, tasks analysis and user interaction

Strong project management skills

Ability to communicate well with Senior Leadership 

Deep understanding of the finance and tax processes and systems

Ability to listen to needs of the business and help guide them to more efficient processes and technology 

Exposure to the latest in tools, technologies, components, processes, and concepts Ability to frequently travel to business locations and production facilities globally


Skills For Success

Bachelor’ s degree or equivalent experience preferred in information systems, computer science or engineering; or related finance and tax domains

7-10 years total experience and 3 years at management level (lead level) with operational, people, financial and strategic management experience in at least 2 full project lifecycles SAP implementations which included the FI/CO module at the lead role

Strong current hands-on configuration and design skills Hands on working knowledge in FI-GL, AR, AP, Credit and Asset Management, Special Ledger FI-SL, Project Systems, Bank Accounting, Foreign Currency, Treasury

Understanding and experience of Cost Element Accounting, Cost center Accounting, Internal orders, Statistical values, Profit center accounting, and Basic product costing

Understanding of distribution and assessment cycles. Experience with integration points with other modules (FI-SD, FI-MM, FI-PS FI-HR) is a must

OpenText experience Plus

Prior experience on working with GRC Champion on comparing access controls (GRC Process Controls area ), and various risks ( SoD Conflicts), mitigation, assigning risk to mitigation
