Senior Software Engineer

MISSION/ROLE:  Reporting to the Director of Software Development, the  Senior Software Engineer  is responsible for designing, creating and maintaining our Direct to Consumer (DTC) systems (primarily Salesforce Commerce Cloud) from a software development, unit testing, and support perspective. Also, responsible for feedback and guidance during the requirements and analysis phases within sprints, authoring unit test coverage; as well as various project and support related activities.


  • ?   Design, develop and test highly scalable products based on business and technical requirements

  • ?   Define, develop and maintain unit test scripts and coverage

  • ?   Work closely with internal and external peers, managers, stakeholders and vendors to build new

    features that will drive value for our customers

  • ?   Present your own designs / solutions to internal and external groups as well as review the designs /

    solutions of others

  • ?   Support various teams during the sprint lifecycle (such as Product Managers, Operations, QA, etc.)

  • ?   Support and mentor other development team members during the spring lifecycle

  • ?   Escalates issues to various teams proactively and alerts the project team on potential impact to

    development schedule

  • ?   Provides timely and accurate status information and appropriate metrics to facilitate development


  • ?   Allocates time for, and performs various research and development (R&D) tasks as needed while

    keeping abreast of emerging technologies and concepts


  • ?   Bachelor’ s degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or equivalent work experience

  • ?   5 years prior experience developing highly scalable websites in a retail, ecommerce environment

  • ?   Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with more than one OO

    programming language

  • ?   Solid, demonstrable, working knowledge of web technologies (javascript, CSS, HTML5, JSON, XML

    and Ajax)

  • ?   Solid, demonstrable, real-world experience with restful API and SOAP web service development,

    implementation and integration

  • ?   Solid, demonstrable, real-world experience developing in a Node.js production environment,

    coupled with Bootstrap, JQuery and other modern javascript libraries

  • ?   Proven problem solving and analytical skills

  • ?   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • ?   Experience in agile software development preferred

  • ?   Experience developing sites using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware) preferred

  • ?   Experience in analytic integration, tag-management integration (Google Tag Manager and/or

    Tealium) and event tracking and data-layer integration preferred

  • ?   Experience in automated unit testing preferred
