This role will handle all server Infrastructure, UPS systems, environmental controls for the computer room, telecomm admin, and capacity planning.

The server support team handles everything related to Server projects and serves as the liason between the NY office and the Tech team in California. This is not a hands on role but the person needs to have a firm understanding of how Servers work as this role is part of the team that handles all Infrastructure management including: 

-review change requests

-validate change

-provide internal communication to both the business and internal IT

-handle all scheduling

There is a lot of change control with the role- review,  representation, and support of other peoples work as well as launching Infrastructure projects to refresh technology. This person will also be responsible fro coordination of activities and have enough technical knowledge to understand and anticipate risk. They will also handle escalated items from the desktop team where problems are due to server issues.

KEYS to the SUCCESSFUL hire- ability to analyze what what they have and determine capacity constraints, taking into account volume, use, and future growth. MUST be smart, a logical thinker, and inquisitive to be able to know what types of questions to ask and anticipate outcomes. Experience with change control processes is important as well.

There is opportunity for this role to grow into Leadership- This is more of an ANALYST role and NOT a role that will grow to an Admin or Engineer. ...must have  strong analysis skills and take responsibility of delivery for projects so there is a project management component as well.

They will have responsibility for all server functions for 3 offices, but more than 50% of the role is in Production Control assistance, Must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed.
