The Retail Compliance Manager role is the source of knowledge on the compliance requirements of   retailers.

The manager will review new compliance manuals to on board  new customers and stay up to date on existing customers’ requirements.

They will train the sales, production, customer service, logistics team and warehouse on understanding how to ship floor ready to the retailers.

The specialist will dispute charge-backs  and report on the monthly and quarterly numbers.

 

What You’ ll Do

  • Review compliance manuals for all new customers in every channel including key, custom, specialty and international distribution.

  • Dispute and push back on chargebacks, maintaining the chargeback logs to ensure fair and accurate reporting from retailers.

  • Drive year over year cost savings from reducing chargeback through collaborating with internal team as well as external  retailers.

  • Report to the leadership team on a monthly and a quarterly basis, sharing cost reduction KPIs, improvements and business risks.

  • Cross-functionally collaborate with the warehouse, sales, customer service, production and logistics, to train and ensure compliance requirements are met.

  • Partner with external retailers to consolidate and streamline requirements to drive efficiency and economies of scale.

  • Evaluate and drive improvements in the supply chain to streamline floor-ready compliance to save on costs and manual work.

  • Collaborate with distribution centers on a daily and weekly basis to drive improvements based on retail charge-backs  and efficiency opportunities.

  • Ensure new customers contracts are fair and reasonable regarding compliance requirements.

  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with key retailer vendor compliance teams.

 

What You’ ll Have

  • 5+ years of experience working with retail compliance, preferably in apparel.

  • Experience disputing operational chargebacks and creating financial reports on chargeback dollars.

  • Experience collaborating with distribution centers to ensure retail compliance.

  • Experience in working with an ERP and/or WMS system.

  • Experience in working with retailer portals and understanding retail fulfillment processes.

  • Able to work cross-functionally across the organization and drive change.

  • Able to manage working on multiple projects at once in a fast pace high growth environment.

A Long Island resident, Tara is a lacrosse mom and can be found on the field every weekend cheering on her 3 kids. Her husband is a Battalion Chief for the FDNY in the Bronx. Tara also loves sitting on the beach while reading a good book!
