Review business, functional, and design documents and serve as a Quality Assurance expert for the implementation and improvement of Warehouse Management System (WMS) Software

Ø   Participate in requirement gathering, design, testing, and release phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Ø   Review business requirements and functional specifications to design strategies for testing the WMS Software.

Ø   Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Ø   Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs, making recommendations for changing, upgrading and/or adding new functionalities to WMS.

Ø   Create and map test cases in support of the system requirements and prepare the associated detailed test scripts to help ensure systems operate appropriately.

Ø   Map requirements and software designs into robust test cases and record them in JIRA.

Ø   Create test cases for validating data in WMS and JDA Supply Chain Management Software from Enterprise Order Management System.

Ø   Prepare and execute test scripts for different modules of the application with the goal of performing a structured validation of all positive/negative test scenarios.

Ø   Ensure test cases are comprehensive to impact the overall quality of products.

Ø   Verify design functionality by performing a comprehensive review of the programs and SQL queries.

Ø   Use JIRA to log defects and assign priority to the defects.

Ø   Work with the development and project management teams to help resolve and test repaired defects for the system.

Ø   Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.

Ø   Promote and compile programs, service programs, and binding directories to the QA testing environment using IBM Implementer.

Ø   Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing on multiple AS400 environments.

Ø   Create SQL queries for the verification and validation of back-end production data.

Ø   Generate and analyze data in spooled files targeted for printers in multiple warehouses. 

Ø   Work with the end users to help facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Ø   Integrate the test plan perspectives into overall delivery plans.

 

Requirements:

       Must have 2 years of experience in the following:

Ø   Reviewing and understanding business requirements, functional specifications, and system design documents

Ø   Performing structured validation of all testable conditions;

Ø   Utilizing QA methodologies, tools, and processes including Waterfall and Agile;

Ø   Preparing and executing manual and automated test scripts/cases and documenting the results;

Ø   Back-end database testing;

Ø   Using defect tracking systems and defect processing and control;

Ø   Creating SQL queries and analyzing results;

Ø   Performing software quality assurance and testing

 

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’ s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related technical field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
