Job Description

As the PR and Social Media Manager you will specialize in managing brand’ s social media platforms, identifying PR opportunities for the brand, developing influencer partnerships, and supporting campaign and product launches.  This position will be the content expert related to real-time content performance, audience engagement and social media trends. 

This position will build visibility, credibility and trust through its PR and social efforts and increase its position and reputation in the world of kids uniforms.  PR and Social Media Manager will create strategies that features both new (digital) and traditional (offline) channels in  to increase brand awareness, and reach new audiences.  

PR and Social Media Manager will report to the VP Digital & Wholesale Marketing

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive clear and engaging content creation to establish a consistent brand story that educates and engages across key channels and audiences (PR, social media, website, digital, press) and addresses both business goals and customer needs.  Content including press releases, newsletter, blogs, and social media posts 

  • Develop PR campaigns and media relations strategies and organize events that are beneficial to French Toast

  • Manage and guide external PR agencies, social media firms and third party company resources in support of key programs and initiatives.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of PR and social media work against objectives, KPI' s and industry benchmarks to support the improvement of future work.

  • Drive strategy and execution of marketing communications initiatives through content storytelling, ensuring a consistent brand message across multiple consumer touch points including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn

  • Utilize our social platforms to grow our community in an engaging way that is authentic, fun and caring.

  • Manage influencer partnerships and support influencer activity for the brand including identifying influencers, managing contracts, maintaining records and reports.

  • Work cross-functionally as a social media advocate, ensuring social is thoughtfully factored into partnerships, experiences and campaigns.

  • Remain abreast of latest social media trends and tools to stay  on the cutting edge of content delivery and measurement.

  • Work with marketing and creative team to execute social content for campaigns in addition to creating and executing daily social content across platforms (often in real-time as needed)

  • Monitor online competitor presences

  • Monitor expenditures; adheres to budgetary and expense management guidelines.

  • Selecting proactive sponsorships programs that puts us in front of relevant audiences and working to maximize these opportunities.

  • Identify new trends to spark new innovative content development for organic platform growth

  • Other duties and adhoc projects as assigned

Education and Specialized Knowledge:

  • Bachelor' s degree in PR, communications, marketing, or related studies or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years marketing experience in marketing, branding, PR, and social media and within the B2B business

  • Previous experience in social media management and SEO strategy

  • Demonstrates proficiency on all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube etc.)

  • Knowledge of apparel industry within the retail and eCommerce space

  • Strong understanding of how to grow social media platform from an early stage

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote, PPW, Excel, and ideally an influencer management platform like Tagger, Tribe, or similar

  • Expert knowledge of social networking channels, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Tumblr, Snapchat, LinkedIn, blogging and any other relevant platforms

  • Deep understanding of current trends in social media and the industry/category

  • Passionate about social media and LOVES our brand and engaging with our community online. Needs to be as passionate about data and strategy as creating content.


  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively cross functionally and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional  story teller that can make messages stick.  

  • Effective in building, nurturing and maintaining strong relationships

  • Social media and digital native

  • Have an excellent eye for detail and drive for getting results

  • Creatively attuned and able to consistently generate new ideas that are in line with the brand’ s aesthetic 

  • Advanced writing skills and ability to craft messaging, press releases and all interview prep materials with client brand related verbiage 

  • Highly motivated and strong initiative – a self-starter who is strategy driven and results oriented with the determination to deliver top tier results

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with attention to detail and demonstrated ability in managing multiple projects simultaneously while working effectively under the pressure of last-minute deadlines and changing priorities in a fast paced environment.

  • Takes initiative and functions effectively, both independently and as a member of a team, with a willingness to assist with routine and last-minute projects.

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. 

  • Ability to foresee challenges/issues and provide solutions

  • An influencer and collaborator with cross-functional teams, as well as experience establishing an internal network of relationships at all levels of the organization to drive results
