Job Description


The Ecommerce Director role manages our DTC business, including our global website and marketplaces, including Amazon.  In charge of defining and implementing the marketing and merchandising strategy, leading analytics and optimizations for the online customer journey, with the end goal of delivering targeted sales. Initially, the senior marketing manager will direct report to this role, and we see the team building over time. 

The Director of Ecommerce has a business, data-driven mindset, paired with creative skills and technical knowledge. This role is a new role to the team and is focused on bringing and leading big, bold, new idea generation, cultivation and execution.  Success in the role will come from a strong knowledge of building ecommerce business, digital marketing channels, experience managing budgets to drive ROI and top line growth, and deep analytical skills.

 

With over 5M website visitors and a double-digit conversion rate, the brand has strong ecommerce fundamentals, but this role is critical for the next generation of growth.

As the Ecommerce Director, you will:
  • Drive sustainable and profitable sales growth ensuring that conversion, traffic, sales and margin goals are met.
  • Load and Manage online content and navigation, pages, search functionality.
  • Oversee Tag Management and tag optimizations, in coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Perform daily and weekly business reviews and send out weekly recaps to the broader organization. Analyze business trends and provide recommendations to maximize sales and profits.
  • Lead personalization and A/B test strategy.
  • Develop and manage new or existing functionalities and enhance the user experience.  Manage the implementation plan to roll out new features and identify risks, bugs, and test cases.
  • Identify the right ecommerce vendors and partners to work with.
  • Work closely with creative and   finance/operations teams to plan for upcoming collections, managing timelines and forecasts.
  • Ensure the product feed and content on marketplaces is updated and managed properly.
  • Supervise the Senior Marketing Manager in the design and managing of the digital marketing budget and the development and execution of brand marketing strategies, planning and tactics to drive acquisition and retention and increased AOV.
  • Work with cross functional team members from creative, product development, finance, operations, and customer service.
  • Research and present insights about ecommerce and UX trends.

 

Education & Credentials
  • 10+ years of Ecommerce experience at DTC focused brand.s
  • Fluency in ecommerce platforms, content management tools (Shopify preferred), market places, analytic tools (e.g., Google Analytics), webmaster tools, and digital marketing tools.
  • An excellent understanding of all analytics and metrics- Sales & Margin, Traffic drivers, Conversion Rate, AOV, Bounce rate, CPC, CPA, ROAS, ROI, LTV, CAC.
BS/BA required - MBA desirable.
