Client is seeking a Data Modeler within the Marketing Technology Team to drive business operations strategy, roadmap, and product launches. As a key contributor to the team, your responsibilities will include the following:
? Builds and maintains Logical Data Model (LDM) and Physical Data Models (PDM) including data warehouse and data mart designs.
? Facilitate JAD sessions to determine data rules, and holds LDM Reviews with Data SMEs, Data Modeler (peer reviews), Development teams, and architecture teams.
? Applies naming standards, and metadata standards, checks models in and out of Model Repository, and documents data model translation decisions.
? Map data lineage across implementations.
? Technical evaluation for assignments involving existing models for legacy applications and creation of new model in support of application development
? Participates in collaborative working environment using the agile methodology
? Keep abreast of new technological innovations
? Provide technical leadership and guidance to business partners, peers and vendor partners.
? 5 - 7 years prior data analyst and data modeling experience preferred
? Deep understanding of customer and transaction data, retail experience preferred.
? Master (experienced) in using ERStudio and ERwin.
? Logical Design Demonstrated experience with large scale, multiple business solutions across divisions or enterprise
? Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels
? Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges
? Develops solutions and strategies based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing infrastructure.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers and subject matter experts.
? Knowledge of Teradata and Relational Database is required.
Education and Qualifications
? Bachelor’ s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field from an accredited institution.
? Master’ s degree in Information Technology /Computer Science is a plus.
? Retail and broad understanding of Marketing Technology is plus.
