        ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Complies and writes documentation of program development and subsequent revisions
  2. Consults with IT Quality Assurance department to ensure that program follows establishment standards. Modifies, tests, and corrects existing programs
  3. Provides direct technical support to internal and external customers and partners via approved communication channels on applications
  4. Analyzes and researches software requirements to determine feasibility of design and marketing requirements within time and cost constraints
  5. Confers with supervisor and representatives of departments concerned with program to resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls
  6. Assist in creation and follow processes and procedures to ensure maintainable application development, including source code management, automated build processes and appropriate documentation
  7. Develop, support and optimize database design and replication for both existing and new applications utilizing numerous database applications
  8. Formulates plan outlining steps required to develop program using structured analysis and design:  Submits plans for approval
  9. Maintain familiarity with other piping software to ensure compatibility with user workflows shared across multiple products
  10. Participate in Design and Code reviews to ensure that our design and code meets high standards
  11. Proactively and continuously evaluate and address application issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility
  12. Provide support to customers, vendors, sales and co-workers
  13. Evaluate and advise manager of latest hardware and software developments
  14. Evaluates and tests vendor-supplied software packages to determine compatibility with existing system, ease of use, and if software meets user needs
  15. Deliver presentations on applications usage, tips and tricks, custom features, and other topics as assigned
  16. Assist other VDC departments (as required).

PROFILE ...education, experience, languages …
  1. Technical School or Associates Degree in Computer Science and Programming
  2. At least 1 year Experience in software development and at least 1 year in Web/Mobil industry
  3. Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and customer skills required
  4. Must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally
  5.  
  6. Experienced with web development technologies on front end (JavaScript, html, flash)
  7. Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software
  8. Support and assist other Development Department personnel as required
  9. Ability to solve complex problems and drive projects from concept to conclusion; work independently, manage multiple tasks, and set and reset priorities with direction or feedback from management and teammates
  10. Basic knowledge of networking and security concepts
  11. Collaborates closely with sales, clients, internal application developers, IT, and external partners to deliver projects on time and according to customer expectations
  12. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem solving skills, and the ability to interpret technical questions
  13. Experience in software development using C/C++, C#, .Net, WPF/XAML
  14. Experience working with some of the following: HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
  15. Working knowledge of SQL/MySQL/Mongo dB and database structures
  16. Experience utilizing source control software like GIT in a team environment a plus
  17. Knowledge of methods used in the following arenas: Construction, piping, specification, estimating, drafting, and fabrication is a plus
  18. Experience with mechanical 3D Piping and design software from drafting to fabrication is plus Experience developing software in a Windows environment
  19. Working knowledge of applicable software packages including Autodesk Fabrication Software, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit is a plus
