The Director of Amazon will have direct accountability for managing and driving growth on Amazon and across the The Company Digital portfolio. The role will lead strategy and planning for Amazon and including digital marketing program opportunities, identifying, and executing new strategies, product launches, and promotions.  The role will be responsible for the day-to-day management, support and execution of activities required to maintain and grow and deliver sales targets and related KPIs. This role reports into the Executive Director, Global eCommerce.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Amazon and business including development of short and long-term business plans, as well as day-to-day operations management delivering top line sales, operating metrics, and key topline and bottom-line performance and identify opportunities to build business and achieve Amazon sales and The Company brand goals.
  • Lead and manage the Amazon and P&L for all The Company brands as part of the overall ecommerce P&L.
  • Deliver financial, volume and marketplace share objectives. Lead the development of strategic multi-year channel specific growth strategies.
  • Oversee partnership with Amazon Strategic Account Services (SAS) contact to ensure full alignment on yearly The Company brand strategy, sales goals, and merchandising plan execution.
  • Oversee relationship and budget for both Amazon Media Group (AMG) and Search. Develop marketing strategies that ensure growth with profitable returns and test strategies and roll out successful initiatives. Analyze business KPIs and strategy is being executed and optimized.
  • Implement best in class marketing plans including but not limited to: CRM, E-mail Placement, Site Placement, Digital Media, Brand Pages, Storefront and Amazon POSTs to maximize exposure, increase sentiment, and drive targeted reach to new and existing customers.
  • Strategize promotional planning calendars and new initiatives to maximize sales, focused on brand awareness and maximizing sell in and sell through while maintaining brand business goals and objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day operations including purchase orders, RTVs, EDI monitoring, support tickets (Vendor Central), shortage claims and charge backs.
  • Ensure that new product comps and content, including assets, videos, and product copy, are tracked and provided by due date. Create a completed plan to launch, display, support and promote new products and hero products.
  • Maintain product launches, promotional calendars, and side-by-sides, minimizing channel conflict in programming.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of product orders, samples and incremental product needs are met.
  • Actively monitor and identify new Amazon program opportunities through competitive and market research and prioritize revenue impacting opportunities. Keep current with short and long-term market trends and adjust merchandising and support plans accordingly.
  • Oversee content creation and optimization, including copy, videos, images, alt images, social posts and A+ content (Amazon) in partnership with the The Company Digital Creative Team.
  • Oversee SEO optimization of detail pages and The Company brand stores to ensure the brand is reaching the right customer.
  • Monitor SKU performance across The Company brands on an ongoing basis to meet financial and strategic goals. Drive online results by managing assortment, merchandising, promotion, and digital shelf.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and react accordingly to increase sales conversion.
  • Build out monthly/quarterly programs to build brand and product awareness.
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales reports by country/brand and explain key business drivers and identify opportunities to meet plan and maximize market share.
  • Manage a team of 2-3 direct reports.


Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree required.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience managing Amazon and within the beauty industry.
  • Experience with developing and managing P&L and account level forecasting.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize initiatives with high ROI while managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced competitive landscape.
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and influence across groups.
  • Capacity to think “ outside of the box” with a test & learn state of mind.
  • Strong project planning, tracking, and analysis skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner.
  • Ability to analyze and assess organizational needs and provide solutions accordingly.
  • Experience managing, developing, and retaining talent.
