Lead IT Business Analyst – Retail Enterprise Systems

 

MISSION/ROLE: Lead IT Business Analyst – Retail Enterprise Systems plays a critical role in connecting IT to the Global Retail teams within the company for new projects and business processes. This position holds a key role in keeping technology project work aligned with strategic business priorities and will be responsible for driving innovation and change within the business.

 

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

? Acts as a strategic thought partner, propose alternatives/solutions in alignment with requirements/objectives/timelines and address issues facing the business

? Advanced leadership capability, including ability to motivate and mentor others within work group

? Executes and leads medium or multiple agile/waterfall projects with a focus on process documentation, requirements documents, user story development, user acceptance testing and training/communications

? Acts as liaison with technical and development teams to convert business requirements into technology requirements

? Develops business cases, test cases and fulfill the project technical SME role on various projects in their area

? Supports implementation and testing of projects including version upgrades? Performs systems testing and quality assurance testing

? Designs, develops and implements change management plans to ensure adoption of process improvement changes and technology solutions across the organization

? Ensures proper processes are followed in the systems life cycle and maintain a responsive, reliable, and functional system

? Provides technical and application support for troubleshooting and resolving issues where required

? Development and definition of support models for new solutions

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

? Bachelor’ s Degree preferably in Finance, Computer science, Business, or related area or equivalent education, training and related discipline required

? 7+ years of professional experience in IT or business required; Needs to include 5 – 10 years Retail and Digital specific experience in retail merchandising, planning, allocations, order management, inventory control, and finance

? PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) or Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certification an asset

? Deep knowledge of Project Management Methodology? Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate business functionality and opportunities into clear, precise and easy-to-read functional specifications

? Strong business acumen to quickly learn new business processes and understand how IT needs to support the business in achieving revenue and profit goals

? Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment? Ability to work with onshore/offshore teams, and communicate using virtual communication tools (phone, conferencing, online meeting)

? Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical IT teams

? Sound understanding of technical concepts

? Experience writing SQL queries to extract and validate data from multiple tables preferred but not required

? Demonstrated experience in process improvement and/or SDLC and project management methodology

? Excellent facilitation skills
